The internet is global, but applications still need to understand where their users are coming from and what networks they are connecting through.
For many applications, an IP address is one of the first pieces of information available about a request. It can help answer simple questions such as “Which country is this request coming from?” or more technical ones such as “Which network operates this IP address?”
That sounds simple.
Getting reliable, developer-friendly data behind those answers is not always simple.
IPClues is being built to make IP information easier to access, understand, and integrate into applications.
The goal is to build the internet intelligence layer.
What problem it is solving?
We’re building Internet intelligence infrastructure, and we’re starting to answer two questions.
- Where is this IP registered?
- What network operates it?
The idea is to turn the enormous amount of data behind the Internet into simple, useful information that developers can use through APIs/SDKs and databases.
Think of it as an intelligence layer between the Internet and your application.
Who it is for?
IPClues is being built primarily for developers and teams that need IP information as part of another product. That includes applications such as:
- Fintech and financial applications: Determine the country associated with a request as part of broader application logic, compliance workflows, or regional restrictions.
- SaaS applications: Understand where users are accessing a service from and use that information for localization, analytics, or product behavior.
- Web applications: Add country-aware functionality without maintaining an IP database internally.
- APIs and backend services: Enrich incoming requests with country and network information before passing them into application logic.
